What this website processes
This website uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services, sets no cookies for visitors, and loads no external fonts. There is no contact form, no newsletter and no user accounts.
Personal data is processed only as far as it is technically necessary to deliver the site — and when you write to me by e-mail.
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA.
When you open a page, Vercel automatically processes the data your browser transmits: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser type and operating system, HTTP status code and volume of data transferred.
Purpose: delivering the site, and keeping the system stable and secure.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable operation).
Retention: short-term, then deleted or anonymised.
A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel as part of its contractual terms. Vercel operates a global network and may process data in the United States and other countries outside the EU. Vercel Inc. is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework; EU Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR apply in addition.
Content (Sanity)
The content of this website is managed with Sanity, operated by Sanity AS, Oslo, Norway. Content is fetched server-side, and images are delivered through this domain as well, so your browser does not connect to Sanity directly.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in reliable management and fast delivery of content). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Norway is part of the EEA, where the GDPR applies directly.

My e-mail address appears on this site as a mailto link. If you write to me, I process what you send in order to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. I do not pass this on without your consent.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Retention: until the enquiry is settled and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
Right to object: where I process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

Right to complain: you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). For non-public bodies in Bavaria, the competent authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA) in Ansbach.
Provision of data and automated decisions
You are under no obligation to provide personal data. Without the technically necessary data — your IP address, for instance — the site cannot be delivered to you. No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
